Motion Tools 1.1
Project moved to GitHub in Jul 2017 --- Motion Tools is a small collection of tools that aims to aid Motion Graphic work being
created inside Softimage. The idea is to create a workflow for the creation, distribution
and animation of instances as intuitive as the ones found in comercial solutions.
Since it is created ontop of ICE the tools have speed and combustibility considerably
superior to similar solutions.
Demo video available here. For demos of the previous beta versions, see here vor v0.1, here for v0.2 and here for v0.3.

Updated September 2012 to support polygon island pivots/rotation fixes. Motion Tools is a small collection of tools that aims to aid Motion Graphic work being
created inside Softimage. The idea is to create a workflow for the creation, distribution

Re: Motion Tools 1.0
@gdebello thanks. i want to make a more complete looking animation next time.
@Falam Sandy did affect the southern part of NY the most. NY has had a Really Bad summer. but ICe artist seem to be in demand. and work is finally getting a little better. spent too much time unemployed but i use the time to learn. we got to stick together and help, each other
Good luck

?
No clue, i wonder if anybody else writing self installing plugins has seen this.
What python do you use?

Re: Motion Tools 1.0
work well!
will be nice to add random values to transform compound, string effect, delay and modify transform from local polygons axis

Re: Motion Tools 1.0
Hey Guys ... I am having trouble with 'Simulate when triggered"
Here are my steps
1. Get-Primative-Grid
2. Increase the grid subdivisions to 24
3. Get-Primative-Control Object-Wave
4. Select the Grid
5. Deform-Wave (pick wave controller)
5. Select Grid
6. ICE-Particles-Create-Motion Tools-Instance Array on Geometry-At Vertices
7. Change initial shape to spheres and size to .1
At this point everything is working great. The particles are following the wavy motion of the grid vertices.
8. Create-Motion Tools-Simulate-Simulate when Triggered
(Now the particles no longer follow the grid ... they are stuck ) If I trigger the state the simulation will begin as expected ... but the state 0 particles are no longer following the deformation on the grid.
any thoughts ???

Re: Motion Tools 1.0
is there a simulation stack? you might need to put it up there
Re: Motion Tools 1.0
I figured it out after some work .. I had to reset my init location at state zero along with various other init props.
Anyway ... its working now =) I think .

Re: Motion Tools 1.0
A very minor update is up. Thanks to Alan Eddie a little bug regarding global rotation transforms was found, just a case of regression.
The links in the site are update to version 1.1.1

ps: sorry I am away from this project and cant cook anything but bigfixes... :/
