mCleaner and other tools

Sry Myara! 2 xsi ran in a same time when I installed the addon, I believe that was the problem!

This is very handy tool! However I am not able to delete unfold props. Someone can confirm this? I am on 2013 sp1/ win7 x64.

I wrote a new version. It is still in "beta" test but so far it seems to work fine.

If you have a previous mCleaner version you may need to uninstall it and delete it's preferences file before installing this one. I've included a few lines to make it easier to uninstall this version though.

I'm writing a manual for this so maybe in a few weeks I'll release it with a manual

Changes:

- Undo, you can undo ! yay!
- Added Delete ICE trees, Partitions, and some other garbage
- Move unused textures to your backup folder option added. (Only works with textures inside the picture folder)
- Everything was been reorganized in separated commands so you can customize your own tool.
- some other minor changes, gui adjustments, etc. to make my life easier, and hopefully yours too.

Now you have commands like :
mCleanObj (clean objects)
mCleanScn (clean scene parameters and things like that)
mCleanClusters ( clean clusters )
mRenCls ( rename clusters )
mCleanProps ( clean properties )

etc, etc.

You can just run it with the options you like and use the logged command to make your own button.

If you don't want to wait for my manual (that can take weeks because I write it in my free time) you can check the plugin comments.

It works fine here with Chrome and IE 11. What problems are you having ? And what browser are you using ?

Oops. I'm not sure why that worked locally. Maybe an encoding issue.
Anyway it should be working now, at least it does with a few proxies I tried.

Came in handy more than a few times, but for everyday use, I frequently use these MCleaner commands ;

Rename Clusters
Rename all Polygon Clusters to their Material's Name with the option to add a Prefix and / or Sufix

Texture UVW
Rename all Texture Projection properties (Cluster, UV space property, UV Definition).

And I know a few who used it mostly for this ;

Freeze SRT

This freezes the object Scale, Rotation and Translation. Unlike the original Softimage Freeze option, this one also works with enveloped objects without breaking them.

I don't know why it wouldn't work.

I'm not writing in Softimage lately and I don't remember exactly how I wrote mCleaner installer / uninstaller, but if the installer isn't working as expected you could try this manually:

1. Delete the preset file (mCleaner.Preset) from your preferences folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Autodesk\Softimage_2015\Data\Preferences

2. Unzip this file in your Addons folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Autodesk\Softimage_2015\Addons\

Or your Workgroup Addons folder.

BTW, there was a problem with the delete normal clusters (sample clusters) option.
I fixed it some time ago, don't remember exactly when but this version should be working fine.

The installer works, and I also get the new menu option under "edit", but nothing happens when I invoke the plugin.
I can select and object and invoke the GUI property on an object, but nothing happens when I press RUN.

On other PC it all works fine, and removing normals was exactly what I needed, so thank you for this awesome tool!

I don't know why it doesn't work. Do you have any error message?

Run it, open the Script Editor and paste the log here.
