GEAR_mc and XSIBATCH

Post by azurecgi » 18 Oct 2013, 14:04

I have a real problem here!

I installed Gear_mc a while back for a project and have found it really useful for animating my characters.

Every time I open a scene everything is fine and how I left it, animation etc. all good!

I've just started rendering a scene with 3 Gear characters using XSIBatch and when I look at the frames the arms and legs are in place, but the head and body have all squished down to the characters local 0,0,0.

It seems as though via XSIbatch some initialisation of rig components isn't happening when the scene is opened.

Any ideas?

That sounds like you don't have gear installed on your other machines - it has to be installed on all your render machines too.

Cheers! :D

Took an hour to install it on the nodes, but all good now!

For some reason, I thought the plugin generated 'standalone' custom rigs, I didn't realise it loaded a set of custom plugins with each scene
