Save Poses Not Working in Face Robot 2013?

Post by RichardCulver » 13 Dec 2012, 19:59

Actually I have not tried this in another version. But I am just working through the manual for FR and I am at the point where I have the head solved and I was testing out saving poses from the Act Synoptic using Pose All or Pose Sel. And I can not for the life of me get it to actually save a file. I even tried to force it by using an extension. It is not that it does not show up in the interface. (not a refresh issue) It is not even in the folder at all. It does not save a file. Weird. Anyone have this?

Anyone care to confirm?

I am on my second run through now on another head. This does not work. Something I am missing? It simply does not save a pose. Can't figure out why.

Hey RC. Been a while. I can tell you that saving poses in that way is not particularly useful anyway. Just store the current values and use the animation mixer or setup custom parameters for the clip weights and you can control all the face expressions with sliders.

Hey man. It has been a while. Been hitting SI pretty hard lately. Thanks for responding. Yeah. Actually I am not talking about storing poses for animation. So yes. I agree. Just that I wanted to see what it was I was doing wrong or if face robot was busted there. Because it is useful to save poses and use them when tweaking during the tuning process. Not that I think you could not do it by saving poses another way. Just that it is real convenient for poses while tuning which is what I think it was designed for. Rather than going the whole clip/slider route - which takes longer to set up.

Can you confirm that it is busted? Or is it some kind of noob mistake?
