I was first doubting if I would learn the software or not -> since I'm not a programmer -> But with lowering the prices and making an assets store the have taking all the hurdles away.
After all Houdini is still the king of FX animation. The future is bright for these guys. Especially with PyroFX OpenCL preview and Alembic they are on top of their game.

Has anyone ever used Houdini with Realflow by the way? There is a rendering kit available -> Would it make sense or is this just a stupid question because they both do fluid sim. Is Realflow faster to setup then Houdini ?Moderator edit - There is already a discussion on the same topic going on here.
