So a little bit of Cycles has found it's way into Arnold already?

Curious though, he must have worked very fast, and... for OpenCL? Wasn't he more focused on Cuda?

The fact that Solid Angle offered Brecht van Lommel a job could be seen as an indication of the possible future of Arnold.
IMHO, it is a little bit naive to assume mister van Lommel has anything to do with the current code already.
Contrary to common belief (especially among "Blenderites"), he's not the only one who can write GPU render code...
Stay safe, sane & healthy!
