Is there a version of GEAR that works with Mod Tool?
Like the title states, a version I downloaded and tried only seemed to half work, mostly unusable, wondering if it's possible to get it working in Mod Tool 7.5.

I think it was developed to work with Softimage 2010 or later and may require those versions for it to be fully functional. It is open source, so I see no reason why someone with the knowledge couldn't make it compatible with Mod Tool 7.5 if the interest or incentive was there.

Well it may happen some day since it seems the discussion of Mod Tool seems to be popping up places when people are discussing what they'll use when Softimage becomes hard to find and downloads for Mod Tool will probably never go away. I know I've got an installer for it stashed for safe keeping.

I have to disagree ;)
Gear will never be compativle with the mod tool. Never ever.
1) it uses custom solvers.
I don't know if those need a minimum version of Softimage.
2) there are maybe 10 people out there still using mod tool 7.5
not worth investing weeks of time to rewrite anything.
3) Why don't you try the modo steam version if you want to develop for games.
Sry but this is like asking if someone could rewrite something for WinXP ;)
