FX Tree - Multiple Tracking nodes?

Post by SamHowell » 10 May 2013, 13:01

Hello Softies

Is it possible to have multiple Tracking nodes setup in one FX Tree?

Once the first tracker has been solved then all subsequent ones refuse to work. Has anyone come across this problem? Or have I missed something really obvious?

Thanks for listening.

I'm not aware of any technical limitation that would prevent that.

I had a feeling that would be the answer. Very strange, it must be something I'm doing wrong.

Thankyou very much for your reply.

OK, maybe I'm going a little bit insane. After a few hours of trying lots of various combinations I think I have found how to get a tracking node to work every time.

Go to frame 1
Select Tracking Node
Click V on the node
Click E on the node
Plug image into the Tracking node
Place your tracking marker
Track "From Current"

And, hey presto you get a atracking marker that works. Deviate from this and it seems to be random whether the node will work or not. Very annoying and hopefully this will save other people from the same pain I have suffered.

you probably always need to be at frame 1 for the tracker to work.
also, double-clicking on a node does both V and E.
