Maybe i am asking a simple question but what is the way to this without merging all objects?
Edit: It seems that it works if i make a group and apply the projection to it, all objects in the group share the same projection.
Multiple objects to one texture projection?
Re: Multiple objects to one texture projection?
You can also apply a projection to one object, then select the next object and go to property>texture projection>connect to projection and then pick the projection of the first object. It's covered in the manual.
Hope that helps.

Re: Multiple objects to one texture projection?
By the way, you can apply any deform operator to a group of objects if you need it to be instanced (e.g. Bend, to share a common center across all objects).
It will be displayed in italics in the individual object's stacks, except the first. If you want to delete it, delete any of the instances.
ICE Trees however cannot be applied to groups, which I consider a design flaw.

Re: Multiple objects to one texture projection?
Yes, no ice trees in groups is a big issue.
Thanks for the deform information.

Re: Multiple objects to one texture projection?
Can I ask something additional... how to apply one projection to multiple islands? Like in this example: it's one object where I'd want each cube to have a fitting cubic projection.
(this is a very simple example, I want to know this because it pops up in much more complicated situations where manually adjusting each island is not an option)

Re: Multiple objects to one texture projection?
I think it works if you go by each polyisland which would be a daunting prospect if you have too many. Maybe it can be scripted, which i know nothing about , or maybe even someone already did that script, or released a tool.
Re: Multiple objects to one texture projection?
Like I said, manually creating subprojections per island is not an option - I'm talking about (tens of) thousands of islands. I found a tool - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/x ... FXtYq1ZGUJ - but it doesn't do this. Or at least, I can't get it to do this.
Per-island-UV-ing, that would be a good description. Or 'normalize per island'.
