Spark Shader

Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone know a good setting to render some sparks come out from a cable....

Not really experienced in this field...but i tell you, what i have heared and read about this:

Render a very rough particle pass and do the rest in post...the results are so much easier to tweak when doing it in post-pro. So...just form some "spark"particles and let them do what you want in an extra pass. Afterwards you can tweak them using glow-effects, motionblur and whatever in your favourite compo-program...

That´s what i have picked up so far...but as i said...never tried it...

You could, however, also try the so-called "legacy particle system" (while it's still around ;) ), which sports a "Particle (Sparks)"-shader you can still find under the "Unsupported Shaders"-category in the "Shader Reference"...

hirazi, i've tried it, but it doesn't work....maybe i made something wrong...

i think i choose the "pass" solution, it seems much confortable ^^
