I'm pretty sure it already works on x64. I've compiled it and am running it on 64bit Windows 7. It's a C# plugin and these seem to work fine for both systems. (As far as I know. Let me know if this is not the case.)

Sorry, my mistake.
It works in Softimage 2010 sp1 x64

I may do but I'm just trying to find time to finish the ICE version (which is fully animatable). I hope to release ASAP.

HI,

nice to see these tools evolve with ICE.

thanks for all this, and all new versions you're releasing into the community.

I've compiled a dll for 2011 now. See first post for download.

I did this just in case I can't resolve the issues with the ICE version (before my trial runs out).

Hi Jason,

To resurrect this thread, I have to do a small sun study job, and found out the plugin doesn't work in 2011 SP1 or 2012 anymore :-\

Any chance you recompiled the dll for 2012, or have the ICE version? <wink wink>

cheers for any replies, I hate going back to 3dsmax just for this ;-)

i've just seen this and i'm thinking about porting it to softimage.

redmotions unfinished ice compound would be a good starting point...

Hi, I own 2010 and never upgraded so I was trying to use the "unofficial" kinematics part of that version to rotate the null like the plugin did.

BUT I just couldn't get it to work. It seemed like I needed too many decimal places and ICE didn't seem to go to that degree. I could upload it (if I can find it) and you could see if you can make it work, but I've pretty much given up using SI for Archviz. I use Sketchup and Octane now.

A quick preview.
Changes to make are a matrix output and some fixed input locations...

Amazing!
Could you explain a little bit about coding the SunPositionCore Node?

Which detail on coding, the ICE-stuff itself or the sun algorithm for the position calculation?
