everything is 3d all done in softimage, used tgen, ICE and normal modeling.

Trees are made with t-Gen, the grass is create grass compound , different grass patches with colour variation
Flowers are T-gen too, the purple plant is modeled, the tiny ocean on the back is aa ocean (well its not much visible:p)
Render time took 3 hours and 40, Mental Ray, it took a bit because of grass and AA sampling settings.

here is a clay ao

:) neat house design! that's my favourite part. the sun and the ocean rocked too. though it's not so visible it looks preety good. ain't so fond of the render but then again, i'm not a good critic because i don't like rendering and am a non realistic shadings fan.

Cool image, really nice concept!

I do feel that the purple flowers are too bright to sit in the scene, maybe with the ones being hit by the sun on the far left but not the ones hidden by the house in the middle. I feel also that the house's lighting lacks direction, the part facing away from the sun is almost as bright as the parts facing it, i think a bit of a darker shade/less fill light to separate it would be good.

Good job on the overall look tho \m/
Nothing's too difficult to achieve, it just takes longer...

Looking good man :)
one question? Grass compound? :)
If you could share couple details about making grass that would be great I'm struggling with it all the time. Currently using hair for grass but...

Cheers!

Not sure, but I think Maximus meant this compound by nassosy... ;)

edit: actually, I'm quite sure as Maximus mentions this thread on the third page of the "Create Grass" thread... :D
