Looks awesome max! Great work! To let you know, for some reason I cannot see the embedded images on here. The only way I can see it is when I click on the small "x'ed" out box and then it takes me to the full rez image.

Edit: Please disregard my last statement - seems to be working now.

I especially liked the texture on the hero tree in the first image.

Looking great ! !
Come on spill the beans ... Which materials/render engine did you use ? And render times ...
By the way, do you render out in passes and if so what is a good guide to which elements to separate and why ?

Thanks

Thanks everybody for comments. Its done in Maxwell Render. I am tryin to switch my workflow to it and since i had the chance to use it on a friend studio i tried this project.
I'm still learning some things because i have very few time available on his machine but as far as i can see i'll might switch very soon.

Render times are 5/6 hours per still (it was clean before but i just asked him to keep the machine over the night). No passes, just straight alpha and the sky is composed in post.

Couple of things. Personally i'm getting very satisfied with MAxwell especially in workflow, materials and lighting. I guess its a bit like arnold, it removes you the huge burden of setting and setting up. This scene in particular is 25mil polygons and it worked flawlessly on an i7 990 machine with 24gb ram. Grass is ICE instances.

I have been there with other engines in those kind of scenes, yeah render times could be lower, but what about materials setup? render previews? all the time spent fixing GI/antialias/ and everything else we all know. I rather prepare the scene, light, texture, shade and hit render. You will see that its the same amount of time if not less, less headache, and better quality:)

Now i just have to wait for next maxwell discount \o/

Love the last image, the way you got the warm light to sheen off the building.

Maxwell looks very impressive. I always look at it when they send out a new release and one day I might make my way over there too. I agree with you, saving time in the setup can be just as important. Great work Maximus!

Very nice renders. The trees (foliage) look a bit too low poly, but otherwise very good lighting and mood - love the overcast.

Very Nice Renders(!) and Materials and all!

Looks like an eco -friendly future house :)

I think what is missing is some horizon detail, perhaps pictures?

Nevertheless, Nice work!

Hey Thanks! Some trees are from libraries, other made with T-Gen2, took quite a bit of try and error :D
