The skin looks good on the characters, the genre though is, well, becoming a little weak.

Apprently they used SI not only for the faces but also for all the human character creation and animations. Maya for the bugs and BG, and 3DS for the effects.

The funniest thing is, they used so much lens aberration, that the whole thing looks like a million dollar production shot with a cheap consumer cam =))

looks to be a maya, softimage and motionbuilder gig....but...no sign of mudbox...so must have been zbrush even though they didn't show any zbrush in the clips...so Autodesk might have a thing whereby only their software was to be shown...so we might have had some Modo modelling in there too maybe!
this guy in the modo forum went quite far in his assumptions...
