Post by SquirrelSa » 04 Mar 2013, 13:56

Hey all,

Just finished my "Gone Fishin" short, short . . . take a look, and give me your feedback . . . I had fun with this one. Hopefully we can make a short series of these short, shorts?
For the grass I used Zybrands' grass compound - big ups, and a big thanks. Renders extremely fast with VRay 1.6
Animated, and Rendered in softimage 2013 Sp1 with VRay as render engine.

Great clip! Love the whole small miniature look and feel you've done with it! it's great!

..and the smoke puff really adds to his personality.

Great! :D

It looks great!
I was a little unprepared regarding the duration... I was expecting more after the credits. :)

Yup, it actually started out as a 5 second challenge, but after you watch it you do want more from it - maybe it's just a teaser at this stage? I definately want to explore the story more though. Thanks for all the support, and coments.

Looking good Ryan - mix between real and fantasy. Would love to see a quick clip on the breakdown on your render passes and how you comped them together.
