Here is a wip about some other fur, still working on it especially on the borders need some tweaking.

Also this took 8 minutes to render at 1920 on an i7990x with dof, all shaders are mila, and the fur shader is subsurface with glossy reflection on top
i'm actually stunned at how fast the render took with this amount of hair and dof..

That is pretty fast, and the fur shader looks great. How are you liking the new mila shaders overall?

Shaders are really nice, the layering concept is working great, the only critic is they are a bit tedious to setup but that is now, probably when they will come out they gonna have pre-defined nodes built in, at the moment you have to connect 3 nodes if you want a lambertian shading and 4 if you want a reflection on top :)

We'll see what happens with Mental ray anyway. I'm waiting for a new Gi system above all.
