Great work done with Softimage

Post by ActionArt » 13 Sep 2012, 23:05

On the mailing list Maurice Patel from Autodesk is going over ideas on SI promotion on social media. Obviously, he needs the best material at his fingertips.

This thread is to collect all the best stuff you've ever seen SI used on. This is one of my favorites.

Moderator edit: changed the title of the thread,
feel free to change it to something even more "catchy" - HB

Good initiative, at least a good start.

I think the Audi "Filter" was very impressive :

No, just any top notch work you're aware of.

BTW, that's awesome, I hadn't seen that one (Audi).

Rork addresses a valid point, as the si-community has ALWAYS been highlighting great work made with Softimage. Our little niche in the "social media" has always kept the "candle aflame" (so to speak). Want great work made with Softimage, start by browsing the si-community I'd say. And no amount of us users highlighting the great work done with Softimage IMHO will solve any one the real problems addressed in the Mailing List thread ActionArt is probably referring to. All that said: I have no problem with a thread highlighting the highlights in one easily accessible thread (and I am even making it a sticky for now).

Sorry, I needed to say this...
Carry on...

I would however propose to change the title to something a little more "catchy", like "Softimage 'greatest hits'" or something similar, especially if you want "outsiders"/"newcomers" to find it instantly attractive.

To add something to the list as well:
famed Studio Ghibli has been using Softimage|XSI in their work for certain shots also...

Important moderator note: please add a title to the link either by mentioning it in your post or by adding it in a url= construct. That way the thread should stay more "readable".
Stay safe, sane & healthy!
