Re: Great work done with Softimage
this video is featured also on cgchannel.com, but the only software reference they give, is that those plants where created in GrowFX using 3Ds Max...
no Softimage mentioning, no Arnold mentioning..

Different publications highlight different software, but Whiskytree appears to be one of those rare houses primarily using Softimage.
(Quoted from here)The primary digital content creation package at Whiskytree is Softimage, with rendering in Solid Angle's Arnold and compositing in NUKE.

Yeah, I was complaining about softimage missing, not wondering whether they use it or notHirazi Blue wrote:Different publications highlight different software, but Whiskytree appears to be one of those rare houses primarily using Softimage.(Quoted from here)The primary digital content creation package at Whiskytree is Softimage, with rendering in Solid Angle's Arnold and compositing in NUKE.

I'm missing the point of posting that complaint here though. A thread showing off the great work transitioning to the usual doom and gloom thread. Not particularly on topic with the thread in my view.

completely not my intention.EricTRocks wrote:I'm missing the point of posting that complaint here though. A thread showing off the great work transitioning to the usual doom and gloom thread. Not particularly on topic with the thread in my view.
I just thought that only mentioning a plugin for 3ds max then showing this super impressive clip, is a new record in my opinion of softimage being put a side.
but you are right, not the right place.
I stand corrected.
