Unfortunately I can not link it in HD, go to vimeo.
Nuclear simulation a very difficult task. It has thus been.
That's it, sure that I could have had more, but now that's it. #:-s

Update: City traffic, more smoke & dust. Strong atmosphere & rain. Dark color correction. \m/

I think it is very good, in addition to a home machine made. :-

Really the end. i-)

Hey Mason,
I love the city, the traffic and the particle movement on the explosion, this are not easy to get right and I applaud your efforts. :-bd
Some good technical achievements but I think you missed a bit more of a cinematic look/feel.

Some of it, I understand might be intentional. For example, the very wide angle shot does not help one get in touch with the carnage going on, as it feels like a tiny city far far away. It would be much more appealing to present the city from afar, and then close up on some massive damage. That said I understand a close up of the destruction would make it all a lot more difficult, and that might have influenced your choices.
Apart from camera choices the yellow/blue contrast you use, with very saturated colors, does not invoke (at least with my cultural background) then pain and suffering of the moment. Not only that but to to brightness of the explosion all colors in scene should be more affected by it. Bottom line is a more monochromatic look would feel both more real and sad. For reference check out the explosion on Terminator 2. The sky turn as red as blood!

Cheers mate

Hi Gustavo. Thank you.

Unfortunately, there were some limitations. Of course always will be better or more, the question how much time is the thing. :-t
That's it. Terminator movie or other movie not care, terminator nor realistic, the shots and cars and the red sky neither.
Nobody had seen anything like it since it did not happen, can only imagine be, and I so imagine. :ymparty:
