Learning new renders ...writing new shaders...Render Render

Post by renisancex » 17 Jun 2012, 05:39

Hi all

With all the new renders coming to xsi i wanted to try some new methods of rendering etc
Trying out some new renders, new methods of rendering and composite software. Most models in this scene were stock except the foreground car

This render is done with MR & Arnold... composite done in nuke ( I am a fusion guy so trying to get more into nuke)

Comments and critiques welcomed and very appreciate

That looks cool man!!

Care to explain a lil further? Particularly The Arnold/MR side, what was rendered with what?
Nothing's too difficult to achieve, it just takes longer...

Nice work. Looks good.

As for critique:
I'd say the Camaro is too contrasty compared to the background. I'm aware you probably wanted some atmospheric haze, but still.

The reflection of Audi in pool of water in front of Camaro is wrong.

Hi Guys

Much thanks for taking the time to reply and give me some feedback.

Arnold was responsible for the bulk of rendering on this piece. Indirect lighting etc... I used Mr however for a secondary reflection pass and also for glare/bloom by the windows which i later enhanced in post

Bullit yes the reflection do seem off i will look into it for sure.... I am off to the next piece however and hope to post that soon. Hopefully I can try out vray next
