act three fixups should be finished tomorrow if the schedule keeps. about 30 done in two days.

hoping to have the whole thing done by wensday. will sit on it a few days, and if nothing else bugs me much between now and saturday, will post a final upload...and then start the much slower pace on the big rip off remix.

I will be creating a new portal room for that one, a new rocksteady (this one was modeled after season 1 version), and a new transport module, since those are now the oldest models from the last 6 years. everything else will stay the same from the previous rats project. as will vernon and the turtle van and news van. all the minor characters like army guys, scientists, and sets will get new from scratch.

and that really will be it for COMPLETE episodes. just to keep busy, I might do short scenes from shows that could use an animation upgrade...like Ice Creature Cometh, or Hot Rodding Teenagers From Dimension X. but complete shows are just too much work.

Principal photography should be finished today.

I fixed just about every minor thing that bugged me. will let it sit for a few days and a few watches later to see if i feel anything else needs fixing or improving to my current ability to do so, and will give a final upload saturday.

I will say this. after doing four episodes by myself, i am no longer as critical of animation errors or mistakes as I used to be. even with a team of 50 or more people working on a project, i can see how things get ignored or dropped or forgotten about now. and even perfectionists can't get things right 100% of the time, especially with budget constraints.

I'd like to think i'm getting better. or at least less sucky than when i started out...but i tend to find modelling a bit more fun than animation.

All the big issues are fixed. all the continuity issues are fixed. all the animation issues are fixed.

just a matter of how much i let the remaining lip synch issues bug me.
and it's all but done.

Final upload coming saturday night.

Toying around with redooing the big rip off, if only because it is now the oldest looking of the bunch.

This is precisely why

June 2014 Versus March 2017.

The new set, while still not great yet with colors, is MUCH more stream lined and much more properly setup based on all i learned on setting up shots. things are not as bunched together and somehow i made the placement all work with the show placement, when animators of the day where not concerned about such things as set continuity.

Most of the elements for act one are done. I've just got the outside power plant sets...One Building, Two robots, a main room, and about ten extra characters remain.

Hi, just to point out that...

the character's gaze, their animation, and overall feel,
all considerably improved, great job!

You should seek-out comic-book/ animation forums and post there as well!

kudos!

I love when i get actual comments that people actually enjoyed it :). most of the time people only check in to trash it, or to tell me it looks like a PS1 animation. which is why I usually DON'T post this thing on only a select few forums where i know people will appreciate the amount of work that goes into it :).

Now being on my fourth episode, i'm starting to learn when things don't look right, and where i can try and improve on things. i'm happy to see that other people are starting to notice that as well :)

It's also the reason why I am going back and redoing 'The Big Rip Off'. That was last done wayyyy back in 2013, and i've learned alot since then. so i know i can make it look nicer. that way, at least THREE shows will look almost concurrent. Two shows with one set of models, two shows with a newer set of models :)

then it will be time to move on and figure out what to do next.

While it's definitely important to be able to take criticism (not always easy),

it's also important to not let ourselves get braught down by "gratuitous free bashing" (specially on youtube lol)
(and then go on pushing)

Also, have you considered actually removing the corner stamp?

Or perhaps leaving it at the start only?

Cheers!
