Hi, good day. I made this short demo comparing speed renders and quality
between MentalRay and 3Delight toon lines. Hope you like it:

As I can see in your video you have Redshift installed as well: how does Redshift handle NPR effects and especially ink lines?
Stay safe, sane & healthy!

Re: 3Delight and Toon Lines
I haven´t tried to render with Redshift. I understand it can read a lot of MR nodes.
I was just trying to know which renders faster between MR and 3Delight.
But I´ll see to answer your question ahead..

Re: 3Delight and Toon Lines
Cool! (except for maybe the slightly abrasive soundtrack ) and feel free show us other pics later-on! Specially that it should be rather easy now with basic pathtracing "Sampling/NbOfBounces" settings compared to before.
But with pathtracining (now default) it may render a bit slower (but way nicer) than MR, but should start and preview very quickly (the main thing), and in general should only translate things that deform, or doesn't re-translate everything all the time for transforms and orbits.
Also, great to see it running on 8 cores!
Cheers!
