Extrude in Camera direction?

Post by Bullit » 18 Oct 2018, 20:27

I have several independent polygons that i want to extrude in a camera direction, so maintaining their silhouette looking from the camera but getting thickness. Is this possible to do with ICE?

hup, as far as my head con remember you should:

- extrude your polys but with zero value (no extrude but the polys are here) create a cluster
- get your camera position with a get data, then get your point position of the mesh to extrude.
- get the world point position by multiply vector by matrix with your obj.kine.global
- substracct the world point pos with the cam pos and you get a vector, that's the vector to use (normalised) to add to you original point position
- filter that with your cluster
