Can I get some help setting up some math on a cache on file node? I have a cache particle sequence that is labeled 1 to 105.
I want it to start playing at frame 600, but backwards from 105 to 1.
As of now, I have this.
and it starts playing at frame 600, but I'm trying to figure out how to reverse it.
Playing cached partcles backward from a specific frame?
Re: Playing cached partcles backward from a specific frame?
Figured it out...of course directly after asking how to do it.
Re: Playing cached partcles backward from a specific frame?
you could actually keyframe a single scaler node with the exact keyframes you need counting backwards. if the fcurve is set to linear and the frame lengths match up it will work perfectly fine

How would that be set up?Tekano wrote:you could actually keyframe a single scaler node with the exact keyframes you need counting backwards. if the fcurve is set to linear and the frame lengths match up it will work perfectly fine
Is there a subtract node involved? I have one scalar node with 105 to 1 keyframed linear starting at frame 600. Does that get subtracted from the current frame?
My method I posted stopped working...which is one of the things that really bothers me about this. I never get the same results consistently. One minute it works, and then it decides to stop working.

like this? I think you are overcomplicating. if you have a 600 frame cache to play backwards. set the scalar keyframe value to be 600 on frame 1 and 1 on frame 600. done.
