I have to confess I went completely out of the loop concerning compiling with C# :ymblushing:
Will look a bit into that tomorrow.

Download works here. I might be that you downloaded it in the second while I was updating the file.

I'd suggest installing the newer version 4.5 from this link here. Has a few additional options like subselection boolean ops, fill selection etc.

Well, i cant make it run on XSi2012
' ERROR : Object expected - [line 46 in C:\Users\cauac\Autodesk\Softimage_2012\Addons\rcTools\Application\Plugins\rcPopup45.js]
' ERROR : 2006-CUST-rc45Popup - Unexpected failure.
rc45Popup
Im thinking about having problem downloading this file, but this might not be.
Im with Opera and when i try downloading from the link it opens page full with code...if i try to save linked content it saves it as HTML... if i save as HTML and then rename the file to .xsiaddon and drag to XSI view it gives some error... but its installed. When i map a key and try running it.... the error above happens....
i dunno, it will be nice to ZIP that file!

Here's it zipped but that shouldn't be the problem.
Could you look in the plugin-manager if there's an entry under UserRoot->rcTools->XPOP for RCTools Python Plugin?
If there isn't, there might be a problem with the python installation--- In the script editor, does python appear in the list of scripting languages?

' ERROR : 2028 - Invalid argument specified. - [line 31 in C:\Users\marc\Autodesk\Softimage_2012\Addons\rcTools\Application\Plugins\rcCustomFilters.vbs] '

SI-2012 x64 on Windows 7-64 Ultimate

Any idea?

This error should appear only once after installation, and disappear after restart.

Pimeto, in each script editor there a menu at the top that shows the available scripting languages. Is python included in there?

First of all: that's the wrong version of Python, Softimage runs with Python 2.6.x or earlier.
Second of all: From the path in your previous post I gather you are using SI2012. From SI2011 upward Python should be installed "automagically" with your Softimage install, you should only have to tell Softimage to "Use Python installed with Softimage" in the Scripting Preferences. (Look here)
Thirdly: If you really want to/must install an "external" (i.e. not installed with Softimage) Python, follow the steps described here, as you will have to install not only Python, but a corresponding version of pywin32 also...
And feel free to ask if anything is still unclear, obviously... ;)
Stay safe, sane & healthy!
