Over at the German Softimage Community Eugen Sares proudly presents
his keyvisCurveTools addon that comprises of the following scripts:
Quote:
Modelling>Modify>Curves:

AttachCurves (CurveLists)
BlendSubcurves (Curve Boundaries)
DeleteSubcurves (Subcurves)
DuplicateSubcurves (Subcurves)
InvertSubcurves (Subcurves)
(LogCurveData)
MergeSubcurves (Curve Boundaries)
OffsetSubcurves (Subcurves)
OpenCloseSubcurves (Subcurves)
SplitSubcurves (Knots)

Modelling>Create>Curve

ExtractAllSubcurves (CurveLists)

There is as of yet no real documentation, but most tools should be more or less self-explanatory... ;)

For those of you who read German or want to learn it the hard way, the German thread from idea to ultimate conclusion can be found here

Nice find!

And for that German forum, that's why they invented translation engines :ymparty:

rob

edit: in the first post of the thread there's talk of a Curve Intersection command. It's not in the addon. Fastreading the thread I cannot seem to find if this one is still on the list. It woulds help 'us' archviz folks a lot.

I wouldn't know: I studied "German literature and language" at University long ago (with "drs" title and all, it was however a shortlived career...), I just - mistakenly - assume, everybody should be able to understand/read it...
8-}

well, a survey just finished in Holland showed German to be the least popular language to learn at school.
I don't know about the rest of Europe :-??

To answer the "Curve Intersection" question of your edit above:
it doesn't seem to be mentioned ever again in that thread. :-\

And to make one more OT comment about the German language in Dutch education: we really should consider catching up, as the Netherlands do way too much business with Germany to ignore their language. But this was a problem already when I was at university and most universities seem to have dropped anything related to the German language ever since...
=((

Leendert,

As I'm not a member of that forum, maybe you can ask about the Curve Intersection command?

OT: you're right about the business thing, it's very important. But looking at the general education level these days, I'm not very optimistic 8-}

@Rork - Post a short question here (or in PM) I can easily translate & I'll post it, await an eventual answer, translate it back & post (or PM) it here... (offer expires after one question ;) )

hehe....

well, the question is simple I guess...

Quote:
- "Curve Intersection"

This option is not in the final addon build. Will this curve command be added in the future, or is there a SDK limitation somewhere?

thanks for the 'trouble' of posting this on the German forum :D
