Licensing XSI 2010 on a new machine

Post by redmotion » 21 Jan 2017, 00:39

Getting components to build new Win10 PC in the next couple of days. (new CPU, motherboard, HD, memory)

I have a network-type license (Flex LM Tools) which uses a license text file. I've had this machine 10 years, so I've not generated a new license file for a new machine since I got XSI 2010. I can't even remember how I made this one!!

Who/how/where do I go to generate a new network license file?

Or do I even need to? I'm assuming the code in the license file is linked to my current machine (that acts as a server.)

This current machine is having it's insides torn out to make way for the new kit, so leaving this one running beside it isn't really an option.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give. :)

You could try https://registeronce.autodesk.com. Don't know if that still works for older versions though... I am afraid that version just isn't supported anymore...

Thanks Hirazi, I'm up and running again.

Registering for a new network license at that link, even for 2010 works ok.

Although the download link to the later version of the Network Licensing tools (NLMIPv6Support_Win64) has disappeared. (Luckily, had a back up on a local drive.)
