Retime VDB sequences

Post by sant0s » 31 Dec 2016, 13:14

Hi,

is there a way, to kinda retime a sequence of VDB files.

To explain it:

I have one VDB sequence from frame 0-100.
When I read the VDB with Sitoa Arnold_Volume, the normal way is to use '#' for frame.
But what, if I want that example_0050.vdb is retimed to example_0010.vdb inside Softimage?

In Softimage, many Property Pages do have the possibility, to use the green Icon on the left side, to create expressions - than it would be super easy.
And I remember, earlyer Versions of Arnold_Volume had a seperate Frame Property that was controlled by "current frame" - with that I could add an 'add' nod and create offset.

Right now I just used Total Commander, copied the VDB in a new folder an renamed all the files with offset.
Thats okay with small files. But I have quite large files and it would explode my HDD ^^

Thanks alot and a good year to y'all,
sant0s :)
