Undeleteable objects that crash scene.
I'm having a constant issue with undeleteable objects that will crash (or technically freeze, because a crash dialog will never come up) Softimage. It seems to happen at random, but it happens a lot. I'll create and object as part of a model, then go an try to delete it, and SI will just freeze. To resolve it, I've tried merging the scene to a new one, but any scene with an undeleteable object will simply crash when merging the object in. Can this be fixed? It's extremely irritating. Also, why is this happening?

Re: Undeleteable objects that crash scene.
Did you already try the famous runonce.bat?
And am I correct in assuming you're "on" Softimage 2015?

I don't know what this bug is,
but try to use shlft+delete instead of just delete, if you have trouble deleting an object.
this will disable undo for that operation and make you feel like an XSI Wizard.

Here are notable replies from a similar problem from the list posted by Adrian Wyer,
(similar.. or the same problem if you are Adrian ?)
Either way, it's good to also have it here

If it loads successfully, you can write a script to turn off/delete your elements and save the scene out again so it can be loaded safely in the interactive version of Softimage.

current workaround is export everything else as a model, then rebuild all the passes and stuff in a new scene
