Two Autodesk webpages/forms worth dedicating a sticky to.

what's that good for, if they don't fix the bugs you report?
"We are listening" is a plain lie.

Yes, you know exactly what's happening at AD......

And you're in the beta too I guess.....

Stop being so negative, looking at SP2 there's a quick respons for you.

You do know who IS listening at everything you say&post? ;)

Not being in the beta shouldn't be held against anyone... :ymhug:
A little more general transparency (0.01 on all relevant channels) to all users by the fine folks of Softimage would help tremendously. You telling me about the "idea" behind SP2 in the other thread was a good example. Someone from Autodesk itself could have done this...
And this is a relatively ancient thread...

haha, no not being in a beta isn't a crime ;)

but i see a lot of angry rambling on the forums of people who have no idea what's happening behind the 'lines'.
also, politics is as much a part of company life as it is in normal life, so sometimes decisions can feel weird to us.
as we don't have the underlying decisions, it's a bit silly to complain about it.
it seems for a lot of people complaining about AD and MS for instance has become a way of life.

being vocal is something else, constructive criticism or proper (repeatable) bug-reports on the forum are a good thing.
some people of the new 2014 team are on the forum now as well, so they're looking into our grumblings and wishes.

and i'm pretty sure you still catch more flies with honey than vinegar ;)

so that's a bit longer rambling than my previous one, although the core is the same :p

you should report everything...
softimage user are the lasiest bug reporter ever..!

maybe they are posting the issues in a forum or on a mailing list but do not report to autodesk...
if you have no bug number... there is no bug...

That is right. Guys, please post any bug/request you have!

The developer team has limited resources, so requests have to be prioritized. Many requests -> higher priority.
Just complaining in a forum won't do any good.

Last year, there was this survey on softimagecreatives.com:
http://www.softimagecreatives.com/siclo ... ge_id=1044

For example, we were talking about the topology operator SDK recently, and ICE Nurbs. Anyone that cares about those things could file a feature request, so there will be more that 1 voice for that...

Right now is a good moment, because there is still some planning going on for this release cycle.

need secondary temporary pivot
to 3 point scale/rotation snap

we already have temp pivot its point 1
need secondary pivot as point 2
rotation and scale gizmo should fit between the points 1 2 and snapable to destination

so it will allow the gizmo able to 3 point snap

it should be hotkeyable and snapable
just like the temp pivot

I think SI Comunity can provide tones of suggestions - improovments also bugs anytime if they get motivated.

I dont know why users not reporting bugs, maybe disapointed overall from this seasson? Maybe they feel that AD has no good plans for SI at all, so why to bother? I dont know. ..

Apart from that melancholic atmoshpere, i wish for some code sharing between big packages,,() and definately SI needs someones that loves it to lead. Also AD needs to decide what SI will be in the near feature . Dead or Nr1 ;) :ympray:

As for next versions i prefer several imroovments on very old tools and things that can make the work with SI Faster
Im tired of those heavy big upgr8s. Or those that pretend to be .. big.. why they dont focus on something more usefull.

Anyways keep posting bugs ppl ^^ we need to keep SI alive.

I'm sure many have been posting bug issues. Either way I've said many times before and I'll say it again, lets see what 2015 brings to the table.
