render tree and ice tree lost the grid bg color

Ok so i opened Softimage today and i saw this

At first glance i have no idea whats causing this color change. Tried to remove the "Addons" folder, nothing, did a runonce.bat, nothing, anyone encountered this issue before?
Or is it some preference which i know nothing of

well i updated the nvidia drivers and it went back to the default grey color. Weird.

Your viewport looked strange too...black bands on top and at the bottom. I don't remember seeing that before

I've had the issues of the black bars on my MacBookPro with Ati card. Stopped when updating drivers.
