If you need just a few trees, xfrog http://seek.autodesk.com/search/xfrog?source=SearchBox trees work OK and AD has a number for free.

If you need more and want to spend some money, maybe SpeedTree is what you're looking for.

There are other solutions. Maybe someone with more experience can point those out :)
