Smooth cached syflex sim

Post by wesserbro » 09 Jul 2015, 13:46

Is there a way to smooth cached syflex simulation? Script, ICE-compound, anything...
I have this very special case where i need to stretch piece of cloth by moving nailed points on one side, and no matter what i'm doing it still jiggling, not much but yet, 2-3 pixels in screen space.
So I thought maybe there is a known way, like if point moves back and force with some frequency - then remove that movement. Like F-curve filter, but on vertices..

Look for the "smooth/retime ICECache" compound by Martin Galik (on rray.de). Should be near the top because he quite recently submitted it there. Haven't tried it yet for meshes but it will probably work for those too.
