I have no idea where this is coming from. If I have an object with strands the camera view port is dead slow when I try to turn or move the camera. Even without fur it gets really slow (holding "s" and move mouse). The user viewport is fine (most of the time) even with 500k plus strands.
Where is the difference? Both are set to shaded?
Any idea? Need to disable all hair in order to be able to turn the camera at all. Lag is up to 10-20s!
Cheers!

Re: Camera viewport dead slow
Don't have any answers for you fraid, only questions - What happens with a new camera? Have you got any ice trees that are calculating anything based on distance to camera? any ice kinematics stuff going on?
Re: Camera viewport dead slow
Great idea! Actually that solved it. Strange though, as the compound wasn't even plugged into the execute base node. But as soon as I cut the connection of the camera to this node, the speed was back. Very strange....
Thanks!
Thanks!
