over riding the color of an instance object??

Post by thorsnuts » 04 Dec 2013, 05:50

Hello..

I have a bunch of instances and wanted to hand pick a few and assign them a new constant color using a render partition... But it wont let me.

I was going to use a color matte pass to add variation to the scene but the instances are not taking to the color change.

Is there a way to Over Ride the color some how?

thanks for the time.

Hi, you can do that by assigning boolean value to you instances by there ID.
like this.

Very helpful thanks...

Now what if they're not instanced using ICE ?

I made my instances using the actual mesh. Is there a way to affect they're color?

thanks a lot.

if they are not instanced using ice you can't...
... at least without duplicating you master
