Toon Ink and Rendermap?
Before investing a lot of time on this, I hope one of you experts can let me know whether it's even possible. I need to create toon-style meshes for export to another application. Is it possible to bake the toon effect to a texture map?
Re: Toon Ink and Rendermap?
you need to create a reflection map of your toon effect.
In theory it works but some shaders won't render correctly (incidences etc...)
Try rendering your material on a perfect sphere with spherical uvs, then render map it.
The other way would be front shooting your material on a sphere and use that as a "mirror ball style" reflection map
EDIT: wait are you speaking about the ink-lines, the lines around object ? no they can't be rendermapped... faked with incidence yes

That's what I was afraid of. The flat shading is nice, but the real thing I'd like to reproduce are the ink lines.
