Anyone know how to bake an implicit projection ? I've tried rendermapping, GATOR, nothing worked ?

In the Texture_Projection_Def node, you can switch from implicit to explicit. See screenshot.
Is that what you are looking for?

I made a typo, I meant explicit projection, when you type messages up at 1am :)

So you want to freeze the texture operator stack?
In the Explorer, under Clusters > Texture_Coordinates_AUTO > Texture_Projection, topmost texture operator, RMB > Freeze.

Don't confuse this with the "Freeze" button in the Texture_Projection_Def node's PGG - it's only for "fixing" the UVW trafo parameters over there by applying a "ClsSetValuesOp" on top of the texture stack.

Using MCP > Edit > "Freeze M" of course freezes everything - geometry / texture / envelope weights stack.

If you think this is a tiny bit confusing... I agree! ; )
A "Freeze T" button in the MCP would be no shame.

If you apply a implicit projection to a sphere, then try to rendermap the sphere, it won't work. I tried GATOR as well, hoping it would transfer, possible baking a UV projection.
