I have a very smart clue now - Arnold will be cheaper! :D

See... that's just the kind of stuff people quote and get's out of context real fast.

As long as SolidAngle doesn't post anything official about release dates and pricing, anything else is just dribble.

No offence on your enthusiastic, but it just doesn't make any sense posting things like this.
They're serving different parts of the market, hence different pricing.

As well as posting videos that is a result of optimized pipeline, good art direction and compositing work by 80%

Point taken....
I'll stop posting anything related to Arnold.

Let's finish with the fact we all have our opinions on stuff.

peace \m/

@Rork - I wouldn't let one remark like that get to you... (although I admit my "Evangelist" remark might have also been misunderstood, if so sorry) I enjoy looking at the videos and stuff you post here, not just because they're made with Arnold, but also because most of them are pretty... So please continue!

Strongly recommend looking at the article on rendering flagged by Rork here:
http://www.si-community.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2283&start=0

It has a very long section on Arnold including history, rendering process, and case studies. There is an interview with Marcus Fajardo. Regarding individual licenses, he basically says "hopefully" this year.
