Re: RCTools updates
I suspect something with the Python installation. Do you have Python in the list of available scripting languages when opening a script editor?

Re: Problem Rendering Mattes with MR
just an idea didn't follow the thread throughly.... it could have to do with gamma correction
* I remember I read somewhere it's good to use linear gamma (1.0) during compositing - am not an expert on this subject might have to do with this...

Re: C++ custom tool SDK programming tip
Btw, how would I get the subdivided version of an edge in case I want to highlight that?
Currently looking into the GeometryAccessor, but no idea if this will work.

Re: C++ custom tool programming tip
Tweak tool "sort of" does that, presumed you don't move anything Never looked into the old "UserNormals" code. But I guess it would be possible to modify the code. Although since the tool SDK wasn't finished back then I assume it involved a bit of hacking. So probably it would be...

C++ custom tool SDK programming tip
Here's a tip how to get the actual component object (edge, point, polygon) from a custom tool snap/pick operation. This is useful for example in case you want to highlight an edge. The component arrives as the first and only element of the Component Collection of the SubComponent property of a Colle...

Getting randomly logged out
I'm getting randomly logged out atm, especially when loading times for a page is a little higher (>5 seconds). Probably on my end, will investigate.

Re: Binary Alchemy Essential Shader Collection v25
Weird I was sure I posted a reply an hour ago ... seem to have forgotten to press submit:D Anyway xD.. Here's a workaround I found: Open the offending files in a text editor, and copy the Layout "Basic" blocks and replace the Layout "RenderTree" blocks with them. (The "Group...

Re: How to delete custom attribute immediatly?
Was wondering the same thing yesterday but found them removed from the list when I reloaded the scene today. Might have been fixed from a former release (2012, SP1)

Re: Ray's WIPs
The nudity tag I find very useful in situations such as when you're in the office scouring sicommunity.com for plugins, and accidentaly hit a thread like mine and it just so happens that your boss walks in exactly in that moment (as usual ... :-bd ) I was going for a preview here because the thread ...

Re: Ray's WIPs
Well ok, but if thumbnails with nudity are not ok then I'm just wondering why there's one in the top row of the forum right now.

Re: Ray's WIPs
Hirazi, I figured thumbnails would be an ok tradeoff between a rather text-heavy picture thread and a fully SFW thread. Going to make them a bit blurrier, hope that's ok.
