Re: knit the strand
Alright, I'll see if I can dig into your compound and find the attributes I need. It may be a few years old, but it's very cool and useful, so thank you!

Re: knit the strand
It appears that you got the strands to form diagonal patterns. How is this done? I can only seem to get them horizontal and vertical.Mathaeus wrote:

Re: How can i hide multiple objects at once in xsi?
For hiding/unhiding you select them and press H. If you want to set keyframes, you have a few options, such as: 1) Select all your objects, then click on "Selection" in the right-hand tab (above where it says "Transform"), and under "Multiple Selection" click on "V...

It's great you're kind of still with us!xsisupport wrote:That's right, I am at Solid Angle now (I was part of the 7% workforce reduction at Autodesk last August).adrencg wrote:Stephen, are you still at Autodesk? I thought you moved to SolidAngle.
Some old habits (like answering Softimage licensing questions) die hard.

Re: So Impressions
When was this bug introduced? I use COG all the time and never noticed it in 2012. Seems like a really big issue actually, I'd hate having to find workarounds for something I need all the time.

Re: What new attributes ICE should have?
I wanted to stick to what I consider most important instead of flooding the thread entirely. I think that way there's a better chance we may see some of it in a future version.Letterbox wrote:Why?

The idea of a script node is awesome by the way, I totally want one.

Re: What new attributes ICE should have?
I'm not really missing ICE attributes, but there are a few other things ICE needs badly in my opinion: 1) A way to visualize partial ICE trees and the attribute values at that point. Houdini does this, and ICE really needs the same option. Having to unplug ports just to see what happens up until a c...

Re: City Generation
Anyway, in last version I think there's nothing of "encoding". General structure is to set data by compound, whenever has sense, then there is pass through. Somewhere in middle of execution chain, it's possible to plug another compound into execute input, which does something with some at...

Re: City Generation
Sure, since word about our quick facade output is getting around, I'll probably have to get these compounds up to speed in order to maintain my own sanity while working with them. So there's a really good chance I'll get them to a point where I can actually release them. Perhaps you could use Select...

Re: City Generation
Caution: Lots of text ahead. Also, I could use some input from smart people B-) We've had (and still do have) tons of work, so I couldn't put much time aside for these compounds. However, over the past weeks several clients have required us to put facades on CAD buildings. The CAD people seem to ha...

Re: Animating the topology ?
Ha, Steve was faster there. Interestingly enough, I'm getting some very strange results using the test polygon inside null compounds. Some really erratic behaviour where certain polygons that are clearly inside aren't picked up on. So anyway, here are my trees. Version 1 is erratic on my end. Versio...
