Re: V-RAY FOR SOFTIMAGE BETA - finaly here
Nah, it's OK, don't worry. I'm sure someone will answer you, but the question weather other people's experiences is relevant enough for you still lingers on. The truth is you'll never truly know what suits you best from the two until YOU try them and as Arnie is inaccessible to mortals, I understand...

Re: V-RAY FOR SOFTIMAGE BETA - finaly here
Great news! Yup very good indeed - I have been testing VRay lately after a long break (Arnold got me!) and I have to say the implementation has come a long way. It is miles ahead from say a year ago. Really good job by the chaos group guys. And... how does it compare to arnold? here we go again :))

Re: So I got suspended
Well then, you've made a bad decision IMO - being a thread that refers to an Autodesk forum moderator in a not so good light and you being an AD employee, you know? - by coming in this thread and... do nothing, except maybe not remaining silent.

Re: "Autodesk shifts design apps to the cloud"
Alternatives are always nice, but I'm skeptical about a lot of things that are firstly presented as "alternatives". Again, we shall wait and see.

Re: So I got suspended
Well I'm not surprised either that you won't answer straight to my question. After all, corporations care more about "polite" than "truth". Oh of course you're not representing Autodesk now - or do you? - but merely expressing your personal opinion. I have a friend that works for...

Ok, I understand that you're not surprised, but do you consider I deserved to be suspended?

Re: So I got suspended
I have checked with some people and the person mentioned is just a forum moderator, but not an actual Autodesk employee. Personally, from the way to describe the timeline of events and the behaviour and nature of your posts and personal messages, then I am not surprised you have been suspended. How...

Re: "Autodesk shifts design apps to the cloud"
I wonder how long beforehand clients will get notified should everything get moved into the cloud... ;) Well, what now?! Shouldn't you be thankful for Autodesk taking care instantly of your content? In the time required to notify you and then you accepting and replying, oh my, a lot of bad stuff ca...

Re: "Autodesk shifts design apps to the cloud"
If Autodesk and other sw companies will adopt this method of delivering its products (which is wicked if you ask me) the ball will be in the clients' court. The question is will they react or conform like sheep. I already know which is it.

Re: So I got suspended
He's a moderator on Area. That's all I know about him and frankly don't care. I don't mind being deprived of something I used to do a few times year - posting on Area lol
I do mind when I'm being told to shut my pie hole or else.

So I got suspended
On Area. Now I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I seem to be unable to reply or open a new thread so I thought this must be it. Plus the recent clinch I had with a moderator. :D His user name is Steve_Curley. Now why I'm telling you this? I want to hear other people opinions on a few matters, not...

Nice! Thanks for sharing the setup. I remember I tried a few years ago something similar and successfully failed.

Re: Marswalk.
It looks nice, but I have an issue with the image: the fact that you chose to conceal the legs on the ground makes it look like it is in front of a movie set (decor).
The character reminds me of District 9.
