Re: Guilty Gear and Softimage
Looks like they were using their own RT toon shader, would be amazing if it could/would be released! And I dont know if it's a coincidence, but the "AXL" model actually looks like Axil Rose of Guns & Roses :ymsmug: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m2DkX7_9JN8/U9Xof2O_x8I/AAAAAAAAAv4/8_dVOszUl...

Re: NPR & third-party renderers?
You can also do alot with a realtime incidence shader with very high contrast, and posted in either Fusion, Nuke or FXTree

Re: Release of emPolygonizer5 (version 5.1)
Well if it would ever be going through tough(er) times, I'd hardly think it would be about performance or 'quality' issues (...) And it now also being for other platforms I imagine would be to avoid just that. But you know.. Filaments and a host of different (and unique) things, including the new sh...

Re: Blender in professional productions
Those are pretty awesome! all the way down to the fluttering and the translucency/light transmission. (!)
What I like in blender is the parameter tweaking goes-on within the node view.
(also giving a great bird's eye view on what's doing what)

Don't know when exactly people are going to be taken advantage of.

Re: Blender in professional productions
I Hope (and I'm quite confident) that is only the beginning of a growing trend, and I'm quite positive that a new flow of professional users (and feedback) would/will have a noticeable effect on blender development.
Can't wait to see!

Re: Autodesk to acquire Lagoa?
No doubt it's great for Thiago (himself), (and that he's an authentically good guy, and that he very-much deserves it) as it might have been great for Daniel Langlois (very personally) at the time of Microsoft, But.. as you say Pancho, what gets lost (almost every time) whenever small(er) ones get a...

What renderer are you using? cause you could very easily do some ray switching! (at the material level)

Re: Release of emPolygonizer5 (version 5.1)
Latter is now finally possible without flickering thanks to the new way how normal are generated. EXACTLY! what I was going to say lol! Apart from awesome (and exceptional) SPH simulation speed, Flickering was/is one of the noticable drawbacks, BUT in combination with awesome (and exceptional) new ...

Re: Release of emPolygonizer5 (version 5.1)
All images a stunning to say the least, but unlike EM|Fluids, they are all very stylised.
I think/find that what EM|Polygonizer needs is at least one excellent demo and/or sample scene of this kind
(perhaps with SPH?)

Perhaps some residual placebo effect?
But man.. your setup may be particular, but still leaves me envious!

Yes I'd be surprised if it wasnt something up with your seemingly pretty particular setup, otherwise it would have turned-up way sooner, I recall on the list someone having driver issues as well, you might want to search there..
Good Luck!

Re: 2015 won't work with 2014 scene
Can anyone confirm this?, Can't install addons? Broken custom parameters? sounds pretty serious.
Is it an issue particular to a specific setup?
