Re: BevelCurve Plugin

Other than the several compounds that can extrude strands such as this : stBasket Extrusion base shape's points must be in local XY plane — as in standard Circle primitive, for example. So use Front View to draw them correctly. Compounds that create strands extrusion are faster and more accurate tha...

Re: BevelCurve Plugin

You can "mesh" or "extrude" (also with f-curve profiles) both strands and/or regular curves if you search the "resource section" here. But what are you looking for? Or what are you trying to do ? Otherwise, unless someone made a one click "Apply Extrude Strands&quo...

Re: Softimage Nvidia Flex

Hi! I just put together a video-montage of most of the FLEX Sample Scenes https://vimeo.com/849617945 I didn't change anything in these scenes, except for default viewport antialiasing in HQV, & some realtime shading tweaks to make it easier to visualize volumes, relative to the previous "s...

Re: Softimage Nvidia Flex

Just to say that I ran into the same issue, but got it to work , and the following was what I did :: - I uninstalled/deleted any previous Flex related addons / dlls - Copied extra files and overwritten existing DLLs from the previous Flex implementation called "Flex_To_Si_2.05.zip" to the ...

Stupîd man-made (artificial) crisisees. ( I'd say also qualifying the ENTIRE Softimage situation ) is this "progress" ? or "evolution" ??? Because we arguably have been "de-evolved" . [-( @-) 8-x 8-} :ymparty: Stephan Haidacher, Babette Khan, Tim Borgman, Vitaly Bulgaro...

<< Nice to be using Softimage again. But where is everyone now? >> I was about to re-ask the same question lol but it's not just here ... CGSociety's CGTalk Maya has even less post rate than here ! Re: 4090 Redshift

Thanks for that info, I'll probably do some testing for the latest working version around that version number.
Otherwise for me I don't even know which version I have installed
( from more than 4 years ago lol ... while still working even very-very well on a 2070 RTX ! )

Re: 4090 Redshift

It's not very likely that older versions of Redshift would stop working on later/newer GPU's, or not that much more likely than MentalRay stopping to work on newer CPU's. ( but I wonder ... can we still buy older Redshift lisences ??? :-? ) Otherwise by the way, I also have a working raytraced "...

Hi there! I have finished and tested the Skin Setup and it is workig very good :) https://vimeo.com/260312225 Great SkinSliding! Also with your first iterations we can see that it can not only be good for skin, but also for clothing wrinkles ! ( later iterations indeed look more like sliding skin )...

Re: Great work done with Softimage

There was never a "PLE" or "indie" edition of XSI, other than the very crippled "ModTool" ( yet there was a 400$ deal at some point, and should have jumped on that lol ) While Maya use to have such an edition, well before "indie licenses". But that's what thes...
