Re: Softimage to AE?
A few years ago I've written a tool called screeninfo that calculates the screen XY position of an object, and can export the 2D animated position to AE. No 3D though.

This error should appear only once after installation, and disappear after restart.
Pimeto, in each script editor there a menu at the top that shows the available scripting languages. Is python included in there?

Re: RCTOOLS 4.2 for Softimage 2011
Here's it zipped but that shouldn't be the problem. Could you look in the plugin-manager if there's an entry under UserRoot->rcTools->XPOP for RCTools Python Plugin? If there isn't, there might be a problem with the python installation--- In the script editor, does python appear in the list of scrip...

Mark Schoennagel's recent AD Webinar on YT
In this repost of a recent (May 11th) Webinar, Mark does a really good job of explaining in simple terms what ICE is all about. A good video to show to newcomers to ICE.

Re: RCTOOLS 4.2 for Softimage 2011
I'd suggest installing the newer version 4.5 from this link here. Has a few additional options like subselection boolean ops, fill selection etc.

Re: RCTools updates
Ok I think I have an idea now what happened... PF Popup and orenoXPOP were using the XPOP 2.0 popup plugin that's included with rctools 4.3 In rctools 4.5 this isn't included anymore (it has it's own popup) so by uninstalling rctools 4.3 those plugins stopped working. (It's not an incompatibiliy wit...

Re: RCTools updates
Thanks for the Follow-ups! Ramon, what error message do you see? Couldn't reproduce it here. Double checked for conflicts with other XPOPs. Do you have a newer version of Junki's OrenoXPOPs than the one that's available here ? That one uses an old version of XPOP (non python) which shouldn't be affe...

Re: RCTools updates
Cool let me know how it works, (btw using internal "Grow selection" a few times might be faster than the grow to islands command for a high number of islands.)

Re: RCTools updates
Hi Rork, it sounds like this would be possible with the random polygon filter followed by the "grow to island" command. But you'd have use a lower value for "selection propability", like if you aim for 50% of the islands and you have 5 polygons per island, you'd have to use 0,1 (...

Re: xPOP Menu for Syflex
It needs the old version of XPOP installed:

The link in the first post goes (went) to the new version because I just replaced the page contents. Sorry for the confusion. Going to update the link.
