Thanks, I'm not sure if that will be good enough. I may use Maya for that, I was hoping there was something as good as Maya's Transfer Vertex Order (2017) that works perfect with triangles too.

Well, that’s it. Add a // before the Application.ActiveProject2 to make it inactive (comment) This will prevent XSI from creating and setting a Modtool database project. I’m not sure if by not doing it, it will affect some tools. I’ve never used modtool, but my guess is it should be fine without set...

This 2019 we will still be using Softimage :) and of course Maya (because we have to) and evaluating other possibilities such as Blender while trying to improve my ZBrush skills.

If you have the last used scene inside your default.xsipref, then you could try writing a script to load the last project using the ActiveProject command. I haven't used Mod Tool in years so I can't tell anything about it. The full version Softimage opens the last used project and this project path is stored in a file called default.xsipref inside your Data\Preferences folder. You can open this file in a text editor and change it.

I gave it a try and this is what I've got. It calculates the center of mass of the selected polygon mesh, creates a null and put the coordinates on it. It calculates from the internal triangles so you don't need to triangulaze it, and it converts the values to global coordinates so you don't need to...

Softimage has a Select Creased Edges Filter, which is not exactly the same as select Hard Edges, but since by default all Softimage Hard Edges are creased, then it's practically the same. to create a polygon face with the same size I would extract and keep that face, move the pivot with alt I think (I don’t use default keys) and move with snapping to the point of the first polygon with Ctrl. Then merge them with my tool mCombine :P
