Re: Assign a single material to multiple object
Nice little plugin, but not really necessary when using the ME or group workflow.

Re: Assign a single material to multiple object
Create a group, add objects to group, add material to group.
or
create the material in the material editor, select all objects, assign material to all objects from within the ME.

Re: Why to work in Linear?
There's an odd bug in SI, where sometimes the scene will somehow not 'release' previous gamma settings from the preferences, and start adding up gamma in the renders. If you have set your preferences in an existing scene back to linear workflow, and still see overblown/washed out renders, try mergin...

IES Lights - viewer?
Hi, I have finally some time to fiddle with this... In SI 2011 we can use IES lights, and I was wondering what people use to preview these lights before linking them in SI. I found IES Viewer v2.99n at CGArena, but that one doesn't want to preview ERCO IES files, only Lithonia files. ERCO also has t...

Re: Softimage 2011 and shaders
I don't think it depends on 32 bit, I had the same issues and more with 64 bit. The basic tip from support is to create a addon with all your custom shaders, and reinstall them. This will also solve the issue of getting wrong shaderpresets in the RT when D&D. YMMV though. Also, there are some sh...

FMX 2010, any thoughts, reports, videos???
So, FMX 2010 has finished, and I was wondering about people's thoughts on this. A lot of us couldn't go, so we're anxious about stuff that was shown/talked about ;) If you went there, and want to share your impressions, pictures, video's etc. please do so. Also, if anyone 'taped' the presentation of...

Re: Realistic Phisical Sun setting
Yes, I meant the Mia Photographic exposure. Regarding your answer, I don't think you work in a linear fashion: http://www.rowu-media.nl/content/prive/ ... Gamma.html It's one or the other, if you do both, images will tend to wash out a lot due to the double gamma correction. Also, then sun/sky setti...
