For mix shading to working, don't forget to unchek "override object properties" at the top of the shading menu (ex: wireframe)
Its cool because you can mix shading model, then override with this option the whole scene if need

Hi, SI always have problem (in my experience) with a lot of objects, because objects have properties. When you import FBX, each objects have a null parented wich have (useless) properties too. And actually this object is totally splited into a lot of pieces. Best you can do is to select by materials...

I think the reason behind those week improvements is related of the size of the Softimage team, and the short time updates interval (SAP). We asked for 18 months development period we got a 6 one. Concerning features and presentation the Softimage release is by far the less impressive one, I'm sure...

I dont know maya and 3ds but both look have HUGUE update, specially 3DS, but maybe im wrong... Hi folks, It's very annoying to manage multiples framebuffers into pass (diffuse, specular, reflextion customs etc) i have to select one by one... my scene have 100+ framebuffers There is a plugin, way to manage that ? AD => it's one of these "little annoying things" that can be easy fixed...

I just have the feeling his growing fast. The feature is huge and probably modo users will need a year to learn "whats new in this version" (one day for SI, without ICE ^^) They have alembic, pixar subd, particle shaders looks nice. My only problem with modo is the UI, it become a total me...
