SItoA 3.0.x uses a version of Arnold that requires a recompile of all shader and procedurals. You're always going to get the floor when you let the nodes do the implicit conversion to integer.
Work with scalars and then at the end decide whether to round or floor.

Maybe Softimage 2012 just doesn't work on Windows 8. It isn't on the supported list.
