Re: Arnold
Strongly recommend looking at the article on rendering flagged by Rork here: http://www.si-community.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2283&start=0 It has a very long section on Arnold including history, rendering process, and case studies. There is an interview with Marcus Fajardo. Regardi...

Re: Softimage Boolean Functions
Well, it would probably work exactly the same for booleans since all it does is wrap the Carve library (except I suppose for any new bug fixes in Carve since Implosia was released).origin wrote:ben, the more tools we have the better

Re: Softimage Boolean Functions
A while ago I wrapped the Carve CSG library in a custom ICE node. It wasn't too hard. It did seem to work better than the SI booleans (which kept giving me a "couldn't cope" error on the project I was doing). Maybe I should dig it out and update it to see if others find it useful. Also I ...

Re: Exocortex Momentum 3: Fracturing and Much More...
Hi Hirazi, Yes, Momentum 2 is going to remain still available as a less expensive alternative. It is still a very powerful tool. Best regards, Ben Houston Does that mean that one could purchase both Momentum 2 & 3 for $199 + $149 upgrade? Or is the special upgrade price only for those who purch...

Re: Geometry Shader for the hidden Options in mr 3.8
I'm interested too. I tried IBL with the geoshader. The results were fine but it actually took longer to render than doing IBL using FG with similar quality. I hope there is some technique I was missing or some advantage I'm unaware of.

You could try at the Mental Images forum. There's already a thread regarding this issue there (I think you might have to register to read it, but it's a useful forum anyway):
http://forum.mentalimages.com/showthread.php?t=5134
Or I guess you could try contacting Mental Images.

Re: Realtime Anaglyph Viewport Addon
I have updated the Realtime Stereo addon. The new version provides control over color mixing for anaglyphs. The contributions from each channel of the left and right cameras to each channel of the display can be controlled. Gamma of the display color channels can also be controlled. These can be use...

Realtime Anaglyph Viewport Addon
I just wanted to announce that I'm selling a realtime anaglyph viewport addon. Previously I have just been providing it as a customized solution to studios by hooking it into their stereo camera rigs. Now I am also selling a basic version which will work with a rig as long as the camera naming and h...
