Re: Construction Worker
Daniel, smudges on her skin will make a big difference. Good idea. That is something I have not tried with the skin shader. I will have to do some testing. And, no. I have not posted on CG Talk. I might if I can get her looking good. OzAdi, I have the hair a little thinner near the hair line. But it...

Construction Worker
I have been working on this for about 8 months now in my free time. It was a project for learning Mari. And practicing other SI elements like hair, skin and facial rigging. I am still working on texturing and materials. I constantly have a tough time getting teeth to look right. And of course I alwa...

Giga Boolean
I have been using IFX GigaBoolean for a while now, but never needed to preserve UV's. All test to preserve UV's on object A, in a A-B operation has failed. My UV's on object A collapse to 0,0
Is it possible to save UV's on object A?

Re: Kristinka Hair 3.0 released
Hey Anto, I am revisiting baking the null vector field to vertex colors. That file you shared with us a little while ago... I am unsure how to call the vertex colors as the vector field once the polymesh is baked. The group comment you supplied in that emdl is empty, and I am not sure how to apply t...

Re: Kristinka Hair 3.0 released
Thank you very much for the info. I am not getting the correct results as of yet. But I am now on the right track of thinking. I appreciate it.

Re: Kristinka Hair 3.0 released
Is it possible to get the hair tips to taper to 0 relative to SI Units? I am using Strand Screen Size in SI Units with KH2 and KH3, but get the same result. Longer strands get a longer taper.

Super clean model. Wires?
I would like to know if you used a curve/spline based approach to modeling this car. Or is it a basic poly modeling approach?

Re: freeze particle at age from cache.
Thanks for the help. But I failed. Points move to 0,0,0, after X frames.

freeze particle at age from cache.
I have several particle simulations which are cached. I am reading from the icecache. I would like to freeze the particles position and rotation at age X. Can someone help me accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

Re: kristinka
Everything is there to accomplish what you need. This took just a few minutes to setup. Your going to have to spend time styling.

Re: Kristinka Hair 3.0 released
Ok, I finally finished grooming and animating my little furry character. Now I was trying to render with simulation effects. I cannot seem to get simulation to work with Deform Hair setup. The strands no longer follow my deformed mesh. Is simulation with deform hair possible? Here is my test scene
